ENGLISH SILVER MILITARY INKWELL BY THE IMPORTANT SILVERSMITH OMAR RAMSDEN. This superb & very large decorative inkwell was designed and produced in the early 20th century by the renowned and highly collectable arts & crafts silversmith, Omar Ramsden. The arts and crafts movement was very popular and influential in England from the 1870s until the late 1930s,the principle of the movement was to encourage the production of unique hand made goods rather than identical machine made factory products. Circular silver Standish in a decorative hammered style with a raised edge with eight raised ridges that probably simulate rivets and which would be ideal for holding pens, the center of the inkwell almost grows naturally into a tall mushroom form, the lid is hinged and when opened features a glass inkwell. The lid of the well is beautifully engraved with large highly detailed Regimental badge, a Ram holding a flag surmounted by the Kings crown and engraved around the outer edge, THE QUEENS 22ND LONDON REGIMENT. The outer raised border of the inkwell between the stylized rivets is engraved, I WAS WROUGHT FOR CAPTAIN K.E.PREVITE BY COMMAND OF THE OFFICERS 22ND REGIMENT (THE QUEENS) ON THE OCCASION OF HIS MARRAGE 30TH JAN 1930.The edge of the ink well is stamped with the silver hallmark OR (Omar Ramsden) and the hall marks for London 1926.From research I have managed to discover one other almost identical inkwell also of the Queens Regiment which was in the Campbell (Omar Ramsden) silver collection, that inkwell was produced in the same year as the one I am offering for sale but it was presented on a different date to a different officer. It is believed that the Regiment purchased a very small quantity of these inkwells (probably no moor than 6 or 8) from Omar Ramsden in the mid 1920s for presentation for officers marriages and perhaps retirements, Ramsden probably retained the inkwells until they were required and then the inscription would have been applied at his workshop. Silver produced by Omar Ramsden is highly sort after and collectable this also has the added interest of being an inkwell with a military connection. [Condition: Mint]

Matching leather scabbard with nickel silver mounts and as stated above the upper mount has a set of issue stamps which match those stamped into the bayonet hilt. POLITICAL LEADERS NSDAP ORTSGRUPPE DISTRICT FLAG. This is a very early example of a rare political leader district flag.Double sided flag with red field with white circle and large black early style static swastika, bullion fringe to three sides, the fourth side features five silver metal suspension rings and silver metal dog clip, there was possibly a sixth ring or clip to the bottom of the flag, but if so this is now missing.Unusual unit patch to top left side corner, blue field silver bullion edge piping and with embroidered unit title,NSDAP ORTSGRUPPE MAMBACHEL.Mambachel is situated close to the town of Koblenz in the Rheinland-Pfalz region of Germany, the flag dates almost certainly to the mid 1920s,the NSDAP was not very strong in the Rhinland during this period, there main strength was situated in the south of Germany in Bavaria,so it is especially unusual to find an early flag from this district.A rare early example of a political leaders district flag, early examples are seldom offered for sale. RARE VARIATION & VERY EARLY 1ST MODEL LUFTWAFFE / DLV DAGGER BY EICKHORN. At 1st glance this is a basic 1st model Luftwaffe dagger but there are several features that makes this dagger very unusual and rare and especially interesting and desirable if you are collecting the various type's and variations of Luftwaffe daggers. The dagger would date to the initial production of Luftwaffe daggers in 1935 when many members of the DLV (civilian flying groups) transferred to the new air force. Early nickel silver crossguard and pommel features brass inlayed swastikas to obverse and reverse sides. Excellent condition blue leather grip. Blade by Eickhorn Solingen, has a few mark but basically it is a very nice blade. The scabbard and chain hanger are most interesting and unusual. The leather covered shell is in excellent condition, the matching nickel silver fittings are all retained in place by a single screw fitting to the center of each mount on the reverse side, this is the 1st time I have ever seen mounts held in place in this way on a Luftwaffe dagger, normally there will be two side screws or on rare occasions the mounts are held in place by staples but never untill now have I seen this single screw assembly. The chain hanger is also very interesting as it is the type you often see on the DLV flyers dagger, long nickel silver chain hanger with the DLV style S hooks at the end of the chain which attaches to the scabbard rings. This obviously is a very early dagger variation that was discontinued soon after initial production due to standardization, the reason that this variation was not adopted was possibly because the scabbard screws being on the reverse side would easily snag and damage a luftwaffe officers tunic. This dagger would make a great addition to a set of Eickhorn luftwaffe / DLV daggers of which there are a number of variations, several years ago I had the rare Eickhorn variation with the slightly different grip and detachable chain hanger as shown in the Tom Wittmann luftwaffe book, that was a rare variation with perhaps only 4 or 5 examples know but this dagger is even rarer being probably the only know example, a unique dagger. REFERENCE BOOK, GERMAN NAZI PARTY AWARDS. This book is published by Ian Alan Publishing and is by Christopher Ailsby. 160 pages concerning the history of the NSDAP political awards with lots of photographs of the various medals and badges such as, the Blood Order medal, Gold party badges, Gau badges. An interesting book but it has received some bad revues because it contains some questionable items but if you collect Third Reich political awards it is still a must have book, especially as there are so few book that specialize in political awards. SA GROUND ROHM HONOR DAGGER, PERSONALISED WITH MATCHING ISSUE NUMBERS. This is an interesting example of an SA 33 model dagger having matching issue numbers stamped onto the obverse side of the cross guard and also the top scabbard fitting, normally these numbers are found on the reverse side, it is extra nice to find them on the obverse side as obviously this is better for display. All early nickel silver fittings, the reverse side of the lower crossguard is stamped with Group mark Nm, the obverse side is stamped with SA unit number and issue number, 15 / 26026. The brown wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is inset with SA insignia and silver eagle, from the style of the grip is possible to ascertain that the maker is Pack as the grip for this maker is very identifiable. Brown anodized scabbard shows some wear and is complete with matching nickel silver fittings, the upper obverse side of the top fittings is deeply stamped with the matching SA numbers 15 / 26026. A very nice example of a Rohm dagger and being especially nice being personalized. [Condition: Exc+]
SA HIGH LEADERS HONOR DAGGER BELONGING TO SA OBERGRUPENFUHRER FRANZ BOCK. It has been a number of years sine I have had one of these very rare SA honor daggers to offer for sale and this is a superb chained example being the 1938 model with an Eickhorn maker marked damascuse blade, this dagger was recently obtained direct from the Bock family in Germany. This dagger is especially interesting to collectors as it features the 1935 / 41 Eickhorn trade mark, this trade mark is recorded on SA honor daggers but mostly they will feature the 1933 / 35 trade mark or the late 1941 pattern, the 1935 / 1941 trade marked is extremely rare to find on an honor dagger. The fine quality silver crossguards are the honor pattern which are decorated with oak leaves and acorns to the obverse and reverse sides, the upper crossguard is internally stamped 49 and the lower crossguard is stamped 89, the numbers do not match but this is normal for an honor dagger, on most original honor daggers the numbers will not match, only on rare occasions will you find matching numbers. The brown wooden grip is a typical late 1930's Eickhorn example but featuring a very fine grain, it is inset with the silver eagle and SA insignia. The blade is produced in beautiful damascuse steel and the quality and condition is outstanding, the obverse side features the SA motto with oak leaf and acorn sprig to each end of the motto, the gilding to the motto and oak leaves is remarkable with almost 100% still remaining (this is original gilding, it has not been re-gilded as most SA honor's have), the obverse side of the blade features the rarely seen Eickhorn Solingen 1935 / 41 squirrel trade mark, this fine blade would rate near mint. The tang of the blade is lightly stamped on the obverse side with the capital letter D for damascuse which is the correct marking for the latter produced honor dagger blade, early produced example's will feature the full title Damast, the tang probably also originally featured the HCA billet clamp mark, but if so this was ground of during the fitment of the grip at the factory. It is interesting to note that there is a fine quality brown leather buffer pad fitted to the blade, I have only ever seen this a couple of times on honor daggers but it is a nice extra feature to see, if you lift the pad there is a deep age pattination around it against the lower crossguard. The scabbard features the original brown leather covering, the leather is applied to the scabbards in two parts and is cut around the fittings which is the correct method for an SA honor dagger scabbard, it has a fine brown grain and it is totally original (most honor daggers have had there leather covering replaced), it shows a little wear mostly to the reverse side but all the leather is remaining and it is still in beautiful condition. The matching silver scabbard mounts are the honor pattern with grooved fittings to the obverse and reverse sides, the center mount features the swivel type fitting not the early riveted ramped type which is seen on the more common early type chained honor daggers. The chained hanger features links decorated with swastikas, five upper links and seven lower links, the belt clip is decorated with the large SA insignia, the clip is still in working order, the reverse side of the chain is plain with out makers mark or RZM code marking which is totally correct for a chained honor dagger of this period of production, only the latter chained honor daggers with the Eickhorn 1941 trade mark will have an RZM marked chain, the earlier examples are always plain with out any maker markings at all. This dagger probably dates to 1939-1940 period, the earliest chained honor daggers date from 1938 and they used up existing old stock damascuse blades featuring the Eickhorn 1933 / 35 trade mark, when these were exhausted new blades were produced featuring the new up to date 1935 / 41 trade mark and the new type and more simplified scabbard center mount swivel fitting, which is the model which I have. There are basically three types / periods of chained SA honor daggers, the most commonest are those that feature the post 1941 Eickhorn trade mark and the RZM marked chain hanger, the damascuse blade although made of original damasuse steel has a more factory made look to it than the earlier types, after that the second commonest are those that feature the 1933 / 35 trade mark with riveted and ramped scabbard fittings and a non maker marked chain, but the rarest with out doubt is this example which features the 1935 / 41 Eickhorn trade mark and the new type swivel ring scabbard fittings and with an unmarked chain. When I originally purchased this dagger although I knew it belonged to SA Obergrupenfuhrer Franz Bock, I thought it was unmarked as most honor daggers are with out the owners details or name, it was only after returning home and carefully examining the throat of the top scabbard mount and cleaning of some old dried oil and dirt that I noticed the very small but nicely engraved owners initials FB ( the F is very clear the B is more age worn now), this then conclusively confirms that the original owner of this SA chained high leaders honor dagger was SA General Franz Bock. Franz Bock was born on the 28th of June 1905 in Kaltenbrunn, he attended Volksschule, his early professional carrier was as a cashier in a bank and then working in the tobacco and ceramic industry. Bock joined the NSDAP and the SA in 1922 making him a very early member, he took part in the Munich Putsch with Hitler on the 9.11.1923 and was awarded the Blood Order medal for his involvement in this historical event (Blood Order medal number 791). Bock rejoined the party and the SA when it was reformed in 1925, NSDAP number 33014. His carrier and promotion in the SA was rapid and impressive, from 1927 -1932 he was the SA Fuhrer for Worms-Rheinhessen, by 1930 he was an SA Sturmfuhrer, 1931 he was promoted to SA Sturmbannfuhrer, 1932 SA Standartenfuhrer and Adjutant to SA Group West based in Koblenze, he then held various Adjutant positions untill mid 1933, 1.7.1933 he was promoted to SA Oberfuhrer serving as Stabsfuhrer for SA Gruppe Bayerische Ostmark, from October 1934 untill February 1935 he was the commander of SA Jager Standarter 3 and then from March 1935 until December 1936 he was the commander of SA Brigade 75 based at Gladbach-Rheydt, he was promoted to SA Brigadfuhrer on the 20.4.1935. From the 31.3.1937 untill 1942 he served with the high command of the SA (OBERSTE SA FUHRUNG or better known as the OSAF) as a department chief and successfully heading over time various departments in this SA organization, his last assignment with the OSAF was as chief of the SA Gruppenschulen. On the 9.11.1938 Bock was promoted to SA Gruppenfuhrer. After the death of the SA commander of SA Group Niederrhein, Bock was transferred to lead this SA group and held this position from 1.2.1942 untill 1945, on the 9.11.1944 Bock was promoted to SA Obergruppenfuhrer. Bock was also a member of the Reichstag representing Dusseldorf Ost from 1936 untill 1945, he also held a reserve rank in an army infantry regiment but probably did not see any military service as his SA carrier would have taken up most of his time. Bock survived the war and died in 1974 in Koln. Complete with the dagger is an original copy of the 1938 published book, THE SA BROWN BATTALIONS, page 32 shows an excellent photograph of Franz Bock at this time serving with the OSAH, he is in full SA Brigadefuhrers uniform wearing blood order ribbon, gold party badge and one other award. This truly is an exceptional dagger with a great history and it is in beautiful condition, very few SA honor dagger's can be attributed to an individual and especially to one as interesting as SA Obergrupenfuhrer Franz Bock…………PRICE ON REQUEST……….. SS 12 YEAR SERVICE MEDAL WITH LETTER OF PROVINANCE FROM REICHSCHANCELLORY. This is an exceptional example of the SS 12 year long service medal, the medal is formed as a large silver static swastika with SS runes to the center within a wreath. The reverse side of the medal has the inscription, FUR TREUEDIENSTE IN DER SS, the medal retains almost all of it's original silver frosting. Complete with original blue silk ribbon with silver bullion runes, often these ribbons are missing and are now impossible to locate, so this is an especially nice example as it is still remaining. Complete with this SS medal is letter of provenance which is actually written on sheet of Adolf Hitler's Reichchancellory note paper, the letter states, THE ACCOMPANYING NAZI SS MEDAL WAS TAKEN BY THE WRITER FROM ADOLF HITLER'S OFFICE IN THE REICHSCHANCELLORY IN BERLIN ON JULY FOURTH 1945, it is signed by a Charles May of Radio productions (obviously he worked with Allied Radio propaganda). The medal ribbon was originally stapled to the letter and then folded, sealed and then sent home to Mays home. The SS 12 year service medal is considerably rarer than a knights cross, especially when complete with correct SS runic ribbon and in my opinion much more desirable. A superb set. [Condition: Near Mint]
SS 1936 MODEL CHAINED LEADERS DAGGER. This is an extremely nice early example produced in solid nickel silver from the original production of 1936, latter examples were produced in silver plated base metal and these are far easier to find than these early quality examples, I am often being asked for these early examples but I seldom have any available. The fine quality black ebony grip is in perfect condition with no chips or cracks and it is complete with the SS runic badge and silver eagle. Early nickel silver hilt fittings are in fine condition. The blade is mint, the obverse side features the SS motto and the reverse side is plain with out makers name which is totally correct for the 36 model. The scabbard still retains at least 95% of the original black paint just showing slight age which you would expect, the fittings are produced in matching nickel silver, the center band is decorated with six linked swastikas and held in place by a single metal screw. The matching chain is the so called 2nd type, the links features SS runes and skulls and these still retain most of the original factory blacking, the reverse side of the chain features the SS runic acceptance stamp. This is an extremely nice SS officers dagger coming from a well established collection based in England. [Condition: Exc++]

SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY HAMMESFAHR, PERSONALISED. All early nickel silver fittings, lower crossguard group marked III. Black ebony grip inset with SS runic badge and silver eagle, the grip is in over all excellent condition, the reverse side of the grip is stamped with the original owners SS membership number which could possibly be researched. The blade features the SS motto to the obverse side, the reverse side features the makers trade mark, Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen, the blade has not been cleaned and has some original finish, it does show some minor scratch marks but they are old and not detrimental, this is a nice blade. Black anodized scabbard with matching nickel fittings is in excellent condition. This is a nice looking dagger and with the SS owners membership would be worth researching. [Condition: Exc++]
SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY VERY RARE MAKER ED. GEMBRUCH WITH FISH TRADE MARK. This is an extremely rare maker for SS daggers and it is in exceptionally nice condition, this actual dagger is photographed in full colour and described in Tom Wittmanns SS book, page 177. All early nickel silver fittings, lower crossguard is group stamped III. The fine quality black wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is inset with the SS runic badge and silver eagle. The blade is in superb mint condition with SS motto to the obverse side and the makers details to the reverse side, ED.Gembruch Solingen with there fish trade mark which appears to be swimming up the blade. The matching black anodized scabbard is also in fine condition with much original factory finish remaining, the fittings are perfectly matching nickel silver. Complete with original SS black leather vertical hanger and belt loop, the hanger is marked on the inside RZM L2/1051/38. This is only the 2nd example I have owned by this maker in over 30 years, it is an extremely nice SS dagger by an ultra rare and highly collectable maker and is highly recommended. [Condition: Near Mint]
SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL WITH NON MAKER MARKED BLADE. This is a good early quality example which I purchased privately and which has never been in a collection. All early nickel silver fittings have a nice age patina as the dagger has never been cleaned, it is interesting to note that the lower crossguard is plain with out an SS group mark. The black ebony grip is in near perfect condition other than two tiny chips / nicks, one to the obverse side and one to the reverse side, both of which are close to the top fitting, the grip is complete with the SS runic badge and silver eagle, the eagle is tarnished with age but it would clean if required. The blade is in very nice condition it has a few age marks but over all it is in excellent condition, the blade features the SS motto to the obverse side and it is plain to the reverse side with out a makers name, for a short period of time almost certainly in 1936 SS 33 model dagger's were produced by a few makers with out a makers name or an RZM code, this would almost certainly be at the same time as the initial production of 1936 chained leaders daggers were produced. Black painted scabbard with matching nickel silver mounts, the ball to the lower mount has a small dent to one side, the scabbard retains almost all of its black paint showing only light wear. Nice un-touched early quality example. These non maker marked SS dagger are very rare almost certainly because most have subsequently been converted into 36 model SS daggers. [Condition: Exc+]
SS DAGGER 33 MODEL GROUND ROHM BY HERDER BELOGING TO FRITZ NEUBAUER. A Very nice early quality example produced in nickel silver. The black wooden grip is perfect and it is inset with the SS runic badge and silver eagle. The nickel silver hilt fittings are in fine condition, the reverse lower crossguard is Group stamped I, the underside of the crossguard is stamped with the original owners SS number, 152252. The blade is in beautiful near mint condition, the obverse side features the SS motto, the reverse side has been expertly factory ground to remove the offending Rohm dedication, the makers details are still in perfect condition, Richard Herder Solingen. The matching black anodized scabbard with nickel silver mounts is in fine condition. Attached to the scabbard is a black leather vertical hanger, the interior is SS & RZM marked. Complete with this dagger is a research file concerning the original owner, SS Man Fritz Neubauer SS number 152252, he served with the 2nd Sturm of SS Standarter (Regiment) 73 which was based at Erlangen. An extremely nice example, very difficult to find as nice as this now. [Condition: Exc++]
SS GREEN FEZ AS WORN BY THE WAFFEN SS HANDSCHAR DIVISION. This extremely nice example of an original SS green fez was recently obtained from an English charity shop for very little money, unfortunatly not by me but I did manage to purchase it from the finder. Although over the years I have owned a number of the red fezzes this is only the 2nd example of the green type I have owned, they are considerably harder to find than the red dress fez type, often they are in mint unissued condition but this green fez was obviously issued and worn. The fez when found was flat as it had probably been stored in a cupboard drew but it springs easily back in to shape if required although it does look rather nice in it's found condition. The green wool body is in fine condition with out any staining or mothing. The SS bevo type eagle and skull are perfectly matching and are machine stitched into place on the hat in the correct way. The black tassel is in excellent condition, it is held neatly in place on the back of the fez by several tiny cotton loops which are normally see on original fezzes. The interior of the fez shows just light wear but no damage and features a leather sweat band, there is also a very faint size ink stamp to the inside of the fez but it is difficult to make out now. The fez was issued to the Waffen SS Handschar Division which was formed in 1943 and made up of Bosnian Muslim volunteers, if fought on the Eastern front mostly against partisan's, in 1945 they retreated into Germany with other German forces and managed to surrender to the British Army. After the war 38 officers were sent back to Yugoslavia to be put on trial for so called war crimes, 10 of which were executed. A really fine looking fez which must have had an interesting history. [Condition: Near Mint]

SS ISSUE TYPE WRITER. A good example of a portable SS type writer by Erika.Good working order with one key bearing the SS runes. The Type writer is complete with a black ink ribbon but could perhaps do with a new ribbon now.Complete with hard wood/leatherette lid,the carrying handle is now missing.Rare SS item seldom offered for sale, rare chance to type your own letters bearing the SS runes. [Condition: Exc++]
SS LEATHER HANGER FOR THE 1936 MODEL LEADERS DAGGER. A good leather hanger to complete the 1936 SS officers dagger. The black leather hanger is the tear drop style complete with belt loop and small metal box fitting which attaches to the dagger's chain. The hanger is lightly SS RZM stamped, it also has a set of contract numbers but these are difficult to make out now. The backing is green so it was probably originally issued to an SS VT unit. A difficult hanger to find. [Condition: Exc++]
SS OFFICERS SWORD COMPLETE WITH SS KNOT. This really impressive example comes from the famous Barry Brown collection. The most amazing thing about this SS officers sword is the huge size, the original owner must have been a giant of a man, perhaps a guard officer in the LAH, officers from this elite SS Regiment were known at the time for there extreme height. The length of the blade is 37 inches long, the average is normally about 32 / 33 inches long but can often be shorter than this, the total length of the sword when it is in its scabbard is 44 inches, this truly is a huge sword and it is the longest example I have owned or even seen in over 35 years of dealing and collecting. The grip is in perfect condition and is complete with the silver metal SS runic badge. The silver metal hilt fittings are also in superb condition, the underside of the crossguard is stamped with the SS acceptance stamp. The pommel is the special SS style which screws into the hilt of the sword and not the tang of the blade which is the correct method for an early quality SS sword ( on a police sword the pommel screws into the tang of the blade), the small silver cap which covers the tang of the blade is still in place. The blade is the type with out a makers name but in my opinion these were produced by Krebs, the sword would date to about 1937 period, the white blade buffer pad is still in place, there is some minor age spotting to the lower part of the blade but there is no pitting. The scabbard has platted fittings which is typical for a sword from this period of production, the top silver mount has the SS acceptance stamp, the lower fitting is the preferred SS style with out screws, the original black scabbard paint shows some age but it is still about 85% + still remaining, with out any dents or other damage, this is a very nice looking scabbard. The sword is complete with it's original but well worn SS officers knot, inside the cloth strap in the original cloth SS tag. This is an extremely nice SS officers sword with exceptional collectors provenance and if you are looking for an SS sword I highly recommend it, the size alone makes it a fascinating example. [Condition: Near Mint]
SS OTHER RANKS BELT AND BUCKLE. A very nice early nickel silver buckle this style often worn by the Allgemine SS. Complete with black leather belt which is marked, RZM L2/2601/41 Kernstuck. These early quality buckles have become very difficult to find. [Condition: Exc++]
SS SWORD PORTEPEE. A very nice and extremely difficult to find SS silver bullion sword knot. Silver strap with twin black borders, silver acorn, the stem of the knot features the SS runes. A very nice example that has been on a sword in the past. These SS portepee's are often referred to as officers portepee's but they were also often worn on the SS NCO and SS candidate's sword's as well as the SS saber. [Condition: Exc++]
SS VERTICAL HANGER AND BELT LOOP. This is a very nice black leather vertical hanger to complete an SS dagger. The interior of the hanger is RZM marked and also stamped with a code number it was probably also SS marked but it is now fairly worn and not easy to see. The top metal belt clip is marked on the reverse side, DRGM with the Assman mark, the hanger has a nice age patina as it has never been cleaned. Complete with black leather belt loop. This would be a perfect match my Hammesfar SS dagger. [Condition: Exc++]
SUPERB EXAMPLE OF AN SS NCO'S SWORD COMPLETE WITH KNOT, HANGER & ISSUE BAG. This is a truly beautiful example of an SS NCO'S sword. Almost all silver platting remaining to hilt. The pommel features the SS runes, mint black wood grip. Near mint blade by Holler Solingen which is one of the recognized and excepted makers of the SS NCO sword. The scabbard retains at least 90% of the original scabbard paint, just slight wear from age and mostly at the tip of the scabbard. Complete with black leather sword hanger, silver knot with SS runes to the stem, these are often referred to as SS officers knot's but they were often worn by SS NCO'S and there is photographic proof of this, the knot is interesting as it has an RZM / SS tag to the inside of the strap. Complete with rust colored sword bag. [Condition: Exc++]

Silver platting to hilt is in fine condition with just a little wear to the tip of the beak of the hilt, the gear wheel design is in fine condition. Excellent detail to the Teno eagle and swastika crossguard, there is just slight loss of platting to the tip of the crossguard but over all the silver platted hilt fittings are in remarkable condition, far nicer than most. White grip plates are in excellent condition, slight wear to the reverse grip plate but no chip or cracks. Mint blade, the obverse side under the crossguard is etched with the Teno issue number 8803, the reverse side is etched with the Teno eagle and the Eickhorn trade mark. The scabbard retains almost 100% original black paint, the scabbard is fitted with matching silver platted fittings, the lower fitting reverse side has a small area of wear, the scabbard throat is stamped with matching issue number 8803.Complete with original leather hanger, the reverse side of the metal clip is Assman maker marked, the hanger is complete with the leather grip retaining strap, the end is split as normal, this was a design fault and invariably these tiny strap are missing or damaged, it is actually remarkable that it is still in place. A very good example of a rare dagger seldom offered for sale. [Condition: Exc++]

If you are looking for a parade bayonet I can highly recommend this one as it is an extremely nice example. [Condition: Near Mint]

VICTORIAN ROYAL ARTILLERY OFFICERS SABRETACHE WRITING SET. An amazing thing the likes of which I have never seen before. At thirst glance this appears to be a standard British artillery officers Sabretache, but this is where the similarity ends. The Sabretache opens on a leather hinge to reveal a fitted book of original writing paper manufactured in the shape of the sabretache and two black leather fitments for writing implements. The bullion work to the front of the Sabretache writing set is in exceptional condition with the Victorian Royal coat of arms, motto and gilt metal field gun, there are no metal fittings on the top edge which would normally be found on a sabretache proving with out doubt that this was the way it was manufactured and that it is not a latter alteration. The reverse side of the writing set is black leather with gold embossed owners initials, G.S.M.B, from these initials it should be possible to discover the original officers name. The Sabretache writing set is contained in its original leather velvet lined protective cover. Probably a unique items, if any one knows of another I would be interested hear of it. WW2 THIRD REICH NAVAL FLAG,PRODUCED IN ENGLAND FOR COVERT OPERATIONS. This is a very unusual WW2 produced example which appears to have been manufactured in England, possibly for covert operations such as those which were carried out by the British commandos and the special boat service. The flag is a very large size at about 12ft x 6ft.The standard German produced naval flag is a printed type, on this example the various parts are machine stitched to the red field, namely the iron cross design, white circle with swastika and the wide stripes are all separate parts, very similar to how a standard war time English union jack flag is produced. The white re-enforced edge of the flag is marked in English in black letters, ENSIGN, GERMAN, SBDS, with a faded round issue stamp, the flag is also complete with original rope tie and brass metal hooks, the metal hooks are very similar to which are found on a standard English flags.
