Fine Quality grip inset with silver eagle and SA insignia, there is one tiny hair line crack to the top of the grip, reverse side but this is very minor. The Honor Crossguards are decorated with an elaborate raised oak leaf pattern, both crossguards have matching numbers to the inside this number also matches that stamped to the inside of the grip.

Fine quality Damascus blade by Eickhorn Solingen displaying the 1933/35 trade mark, the obverse side of the blade features the SA motto with oak leaf at each end, there is about 80% gilt remaining to the motto and oak leafs. The tang of the blade is numbered but this does not match the number to the inside crossguards, but this is normal mostly they will not match, tang is also stamped Damast.

Fine quality leather covered scabbard complete with 3 scabbard mounts, all 3 of which are grooved around the outer edges, the center mount is the moor decorative type which is found only on early SA chained honor daggers which this example is.

The scabbard leather is in fine condition, showing slight wear to the reverse, but we believe this leather covering might be a replacement, but it is expertly fitted and possibly a period replacement from its time of wear by its original owner. Complete with original chained hanger, having 5 upper and 7 lower links bearing raised swastikas, the chain is joined at the top with a large snap fastener with the design of the SA lightning bolt insignia.
