FORMAL AWARD DOCUMENT FOR THE KNIGHTS CROSS OF THE IRON CROSS, AWARDING THE KNIGHTS CROSS TO LUFTWAFFE LIEUTENANT HANS KLAIBER Large award document contained in the original large red leatherette folder, cover of folder displays a large closed wing gilt eagle and swastika, the folder is also stamped on the inside bottom edge with the manufacturers name, Frieda Thiersch. Document awarding the Knights cross of the iron cross to Lieutenant Hans Klaiber dated 26.7.1942 and with good ink signature of Adolf Hitler. The document and folder are in superb condition.Lieutenant Klaiber was awarded the knights cross when serving with, Luftwaffe Motorised 1/Flak Rgt 11. He was killed in action on the 9.5.1945 near the Danube river at Raum near Prague as a Hauptmann and battalion commander. |
