MINITURE HALL MARKED SILVER (1915) BRITISH INFANTRY OFFICERS SWORD.

This is a suburb quality WW1 hall marked silver very large size miniature of the standard British army officers infantry pattern sword, possibly produced as a letter opener. The sword is about 1/3 the size of the standard model sword, I have owned miniatures of this model sword in the past but never as large is this one, the size is that of a large dagger which fits comfortably in the hand. Silver basket hilt with King George 5th Royal cipher, the hilt has a full set of English silver hall marks for London 1915,silver makers initials and also engraved with name of the prestigious Royal jewelers, Asprey London. The back strap of the sword is also stamped with a full set of matching silver hall marks. Wire bound fish skin grip which is in perfect condition. Mint plain silver blade which again features a set of matching silver hall marks. Size just under 16 inches. Superb sword possibly a unique special commission. [Condition: Near Mint]
