HITLER YOUTH LEADERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.

There are only two excepted makers of the HJ leaders dagger, Horster and Eickhorn but Eickhorn is the most desirable and also the rarest, we probably see one Eickhorn dagger to every five Horster examples. The silver plated pommel is in excellent condition and displays the HJ swastika diamond to the top, the fitting is held in place by one single screw on the reverse side which is correct for the Eickhorn model. The wire bound grip is still very tight and it is in fine condition. The crossguard still retains traces of the silver finish, it shows slight wear on the reverse side from rubbing on the HJ officers tunic over many years. The blade shows some slight age wear but it is still in very nice condition, the obverse side features the HJ motto, and the reverse side is maker marked RZM M7/66 which is the code for Eickhorn Solingen. Complete with original scabbard which still retains all original leather, the three silver fittings are still in very nice condition and the upper fittings displays the HJ eagle with swastika to the eagles breast. A very nice dagger by a very desirable and rare maker, I believe this is only the third example by Eickhorn which I have offered for sale in over 35 years, compared to at least 20 Horster examples.
