SA MANS DAGGER BY KLASS WITH FELDHERRNHALLE FROG HANGER.

Daggers fitted with this model hanger are believed to have been worn by the enlisted ranks of the elite SA Regiment Feldherrnhalle. The brown wooden grip is in superb condition and it is fitted with the SA insignia and late 1930's style grey metal eagle. All silver plated hilt fittings are in superb condition and retain 98% original silver plating. The blade is in near mint condition and features the SA motto to the obverse side which still retains much factory frosting and also cross grain, the reverse side is maker marked, RZM M7/37 which is the makers code for Robert Klass Solingen. The scabbard retains 99% original brown paint finish and 100% silver plating remaining to the fittings. Fitted to the dagger is the original brown leather frog hanger and this is the type which it is believed was worn by the SA Feldherrnhalle Regt, the frog is complete with grip retaining strap and button, the reverse side of the frog is stamped RZM L2/441/37, this frog is firmly fitted to the scabbard and cannot be removed and it has almost moulded itself to the scabbard. In the early 1980's a small quantity of near mint SA dagger all produced by Klass and fitted with these rare frogs were discovered, I believe this example originates from that long ago discovery. Near mint.
