RARE THIRD REICH LAND CUSTOMS BAYONET BY KLASS.

The Third Reich customs bayonet is very similar to the police bayonet but the grip is plain stag horn with out grip insignia. Fine quality silver eagle head hilt, this is the type that has a solid hilt without a rifle slot. The stag horn grip is in fine condition and it has never had any insignia attached. The blade is stamped on the reverse side with the Robert Klass trade mark that includes the kissing krane's, the blade has some light age spotting but mostly to the reverse side, the blade is still very bright and nice. The scabbard is interesting as it has a leather covered metal shell, the leather covering is extremely high quality (bayonets of this design normally have a solid leather scabbard), the scabbard is fitted with two matching silver fittings, these are also interesting as they were factory manufactured with two small holes for mounting with staples but because the scabbard was metal Klass used screws instead, I have seen this before but not often. Complete with black leather bayonet frog. A rare bayonet missing from most collections. Exc++
