VICTORIAN SCOTTISH HALLMARKED SILVER HIGHLAND DIRK.

A large and very impressive highland dirk. Black bogwood grip is in fine condition and it is carved in a complicated Celtic design. The silver pommel cap is inset with a large stone. Long impressive blade with a few age marks but over all it is still extremely nice condition. Black leather scabbard fitted with four silver mounts which are all Highley decorated with ornate Celtic designs, three of the mounts are silver hallmarked on the reverse side, Edinburgh 1885 and makers mark M & C. Complete with matching knife and fork set each with matching stones to there pommels. A very impressive and difficult to find silver hallmarked example as most are plated. Exc++
