IMPERIAL GERMAN M98/05 MODEL BAYONET WITH SAW BACK BLADE.

This is the model bayonet often described as the butcher bayonet because of the huge sawback blade. Blue steel hilt with waffen amp stamp to the reverse side of the pommel, the crossgurd reverse side is stamped 48 which is probably an issue number. The wooden grip plates are in excellent condition with no damage just light wear. The massive saw back blade is very impressive and the spine of the blade is waffen amp stamped, the blade is maker marked, STAHLBLUME FERO SCHLEUTERM REMSCHEID-HASN and with the trade mark of an angel with trumpet, the blade shows age wear but it is still very bright and still looks nice on display. Complete with blued scabbard. Exc++
