FRENCH 1837 PATTERN NAVAL OFFICERS SWORD.

All brass hilt fittings. The decorative basket hilt features the Naval fouled anchor and the tip features a lions head. The black horn grip is in fine condition. The blain blade shows some slight age spotting, mostly towards the tip. Black leather scabbard fitted with three highly decorated brass mounts, the centre and upper mounts displays the fouled anchor. The black leather scabbard is fitted with two scabbard rings and also a frog stud so it can also be worn vertically. A fine looking Victorian sword. Exc++
