JAPANEASE WW2 ARMY OFFICERS SWORD WITH VERY OLD FAMILY BLADE.

A very nice high quality Japanese officers katana sword with old family blade. High quality suba decorated with an unusual floral design with similar decoration to ferule and pommel cap. The black cloth bound grip is in fine condition and it is fitted with two unusual style manuka. Very nice blade with hammon line to the blade edge. The tang of the blade is signed and it also has two attachment holes showing that is was used over several century's until it was re-fitted with WW2 deluxe quality mounts. The wooden saya or scabbard is complete with its original leather covering. A really nice example. Exc++
