THIRD REICH LAND AND SEA CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IDENTIFICATION BADGE.

Circular metal badge with yellow border and red center and marked, LAND-U-SEE LEICHTBAU NEUMUNSTER with owners stamped identification number 5163.The reverse side is fitted with safety pin type fitting but the hook is slightly damaged now. The company was founded in 1936 by Sachsenberg AG, with plants in Keil and Neumunster. From 1939 the company operated as a Luftwaffe repair shop and also as an armaments production company. The company is known to have employed concentration camp prisoners and also forced labourers from various country's including Russia, France, Holland and almost certainly others and apparently the condition in the camps for the workers was very bad.
