GERMAN 1ST MODEL NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER BY WKC WITH ISSUE STAMPS AND GOLD KNOT.
This is a difficult naval model to find as most were up-dated in 1938 with the new style eagle pommel but this one was not. Excellent detail to the flame ball pommel. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition. The crossguard is the early style that does not have a bush button, the blade being held in place by pressure. The plain blade is in excellent condition and it is stamped with the WKC Knight head trade mark and being the early style with out the letters, the blade is also stamped with the Weimar style eagle with M below and issue number O.593. The matching scabbard is in very nice condition and it is the early lightning bolt type with rope bands, it is also stamped on the reverse side with the issue number O.593 which matches the number on the blade. Complete with very nice gold naval knot. This model naval dagger was worn from the late 1920's into the Third Reich period and it is a very desirable and hard to find dagger. Exc++
