GERMAN FIRE SERVICE OFFICERS DAGGER BY EICKHORN.
This example is by Eickhorn and dates from the early 1930's into the Third Reich period. Decorative silver pommel. The crossguard features a fire helmet and crossed axes. The blue leather grip is in perfect condition. The blade is in near mint condition and it is double etched with fire fighting designs such as ladders, helmet and axes all set in long floral panels, the blade is stamped with the small Eickhorn oval trade mark that features the Squirrel and letters C.E and being stamped confirms it is an original example, latter examples are etched. Black leather scabbard is in fine condition and it is fitted with two matching silver mounts. A very nice example, original Fire Service Officers daggers are hard to find. Exc++
