BRITISH 1920'S SILVER SWASTIKA DECORATED BANGLE COMPLETE WITH BOX.

A most unusual British hallmarked silver bangle. This unique bangle is constructed with 14 swastikas each set in a circle and then linked together and forming a circular bangle. Silver hallmarks on the reverse side for Birmingham 1923 with makers initials AJS. Complete with box with London jewellers name to the lid. Normally swastika decorated British silver dates from the Edwardian period or just after and at that time it was consider a good luck symbol, it is unusual to see British swastika items dated as late as this silver bangle as by 1923 the swastika had become a political symbol, so this bangle could be for good luck but it might also have political connotations.
