GERMAN FORESTRY ENLISTED MANS DAGGER.

This very interesting deluxe quality example probably dates from the very early 1930's. Fine quality stag horn grip complete with all original brass acorns to the obverse side. The gilt brass knuckle bow is very interesting as it features two highly detailed dogs heads with an oakleaf and two acorns as the central design. The clamshell features a hunting dog with a bird in its mouth. The blade is not maker marked but the obverse and reverse sides are both etched with forestry designs such as a stag, man with rifle in a forest, the blade does show some wear and spotting from age but it still looks ok and could be cleaned if required. Complete with black leather scabbard with matching brass mounts. Unusual model extra deluxe forestry dagger which I have not seen before and it is also very high quality. Exc+
