Campaign furniture and accessories were popular with the British military as they were reinforced with metal binding giving extra strength for travelling with the army. FRENCH CAVALRY TROOPERS SWORD, 19th CANTUARY.

This sword appears to be the French 1882 model but there are other similar earlier models which are almost identical, some of which were also used in the American civil war. A fine 9ct gold British Guards Regiment sweetharts badge / bar brooch. Blue and red enameled miniature guards badge with kings crown. The reverse side features pin and hook and is marked 9CT.
