A large glazed stoneware mug modeled as Churchill, the handle is designed as a naval anchor probably representing his position as 1st Lord of the Admiralty. Base is marked Churchill with makers stamp Shorter, this is an unusual maker for caricature mugs as normally they are by Doulton. Height just under 7 inches and nicely model in a full colour glaze.
