PERSONALISED SA DAGGER 1933 MODEL BY ED GEMBRUCH, COMPLETE WITH HANGER.
Gembruch is very desirable maker as they are better known for there ultra rare SS daggers. All early nickel silver fittings, the lower crossguard obverse side is stamped with the original owners SA membership number 19543, the reverse side is stamped HO for the Hochland SA Group, the stamping is so light I did not notice it initially. The very nice brown wooden grip is inset with silver eagle and SA insignia. The blade displays the SA motto to the obverse side and the revers side is marked, ED GEMBRUCH SOLINGEN, the blade shows some minor wear but over all it is still extremely nice and this as mentioned above is a very desirable and rare maker. Brown anodised scabbard is fitted with matching nickel silver fittings. Complete with hanger. Exc++

SOCIAL WELFARE LEADERS DAGGER COMPLETE WITH SILVER KNOT.
This is the scarce model with circular holes in the scabbard bands often described as social welfare rather than Red cross but it is probably a makers variation, but they are certainly harder to find than the standard model and most collectors wish to own both types. Dagger retains almost all silver plating to the hilt fittings with excellent detail to the red cross eagle with swastika. Mint orange grip. Superb mint blade. The scabbard retains almost all silver platting and as mentioned above it is fitted with circular holes to the suspension loops. Complete with silver dagger knot. Near mint.

SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL.
This is an interesting SS dagger as it is identical to a chained SS leaders dagger with out makers name but it is fitted with a 33 pattern scabbard, a scarce variation to find and if you have a 36 chained scabbard with out a dagger this is a probably a unique opportunity to complete it. All plated hilt fittings have a matching age patina as the dagger has never been cleaned, the silver plated hilt fittings are in very nice condition with almost all plating remaining. The black wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is fitted with SS runic badge and eagle. The blade features the SS motto to the obverse side, the reverse side is plain with out a makers name and identical to the chained leaders blade, the blade retains much cross grain but it does have a few age marks but mainly to the reverse side. The scabbard is black anodised and is complete with matching silver fittings. Although the dagger is really nice in its present format, If you have a 36 scabbard missing the dagger this might be your only opportunity to complete it. Exc++

The interior features a brown oil cloth lining, the lining has several age cracks but no missing material, it is fitted with a leather sweat band which shows wear, under the sweat band there is an early style RZM tag. The kepi almost certainly dates to early 1933, by late 1933 the SA started to introduce the coloured bands on Kepis. No moth or other damage. Exc++
