ALLGERMINE SS OFFICERS PEAKED CAP WITH ORIGINAL ISSUE BOX AND PROVENANCE.
This beautiful example is in near mint condition, it has impeccable provenance as it was originally part of the Barry Brown collection and was actually pictured in the, Sir Red Publications 1989 calendar (July). The black wool top is in mint condition, the wide black velvet center band is also in mint condition, there is no moth or damage to the white piping. The hat is complete with the silver side buttons, silver cap cords and matching high quality silver metal SS deaths head and SS eagle insignia, the insignia has never been removed from the hat and I have no intention of doing so to inspect the reverse side for RZM SS marking, this a beautiful matching set of original cap insignia. The interior of the hat features the standard black silk lining typical for a late 1930's Allgemine SS officers hat, plain celluloid patch is in near mint condition, the brown sweat band is also just about perfect, the underside of the sweat band has an SS RZM TUCHMUTZE label with manufacturers code 4. The underside of the peak has the typical black stamped SS RZM runes. The hat is complete with the original black leatherette issue storage box with carrying handle. The hat is basically in just about mint condition but it has been worn, almost certainly the finest example available on the market today and with impeccable provenance. A photo copy of the relevant page from the calendar will be supplied to the purchaser…..PRICE ON REQUEST…….. [Condition: Near Mint]

VERY RARE LUFTWAFFE NCO'S PEAKED CAP WITH PINK PIPING FOR ENGINEER TROOPS.
Luftwaffe NCO peaked caps with pink piping for engineer troops which is one of the hardest Luftwaffe waffenfarbe branch colours to find, i only recall having one other and that was at least 20 years ago. The hat has a very high front and is of very high quality, Luftwaffe blue top with black ribbed center band with pink piping for engineer troops, complete with aluminum Luftwaffe 2nd pattern cap eagle, cockade and leather chin strap. The interior features gray silk lining with some sweat staining and with full celluloid patch with makers details, JOHANN FREY MUNCHEN, brown leather sweat band has matching makers details. These pink piped Luftwaffe hats are some times referred to as Luftwaffe Panzer NCO caps as the Luftwaffe did have tank units and it is possible that they were issued to these units on a small scale but the official categorization is engineers. SILVER PRESENTATION GAU SUDETENLAND CIGARETTE CASE.
A fine quality fully marked 900 silver cigarette case with attractive line decoration, attached to the lid are the original owners initials and a superb quality miniature of the rare Gau Sutetenland badge, these are both held in place with tiny matching rivets. The small silver catch that opens the case on a spring hinge is maker marked and silver marked, 900 J.S 3 X, these same marks are also stamped into the interior of the lid and the base. The interior is still fitted with two cloth straps for holding the cigarettes in place, the interior base has an interesting four line presentation inscription, SUTETENFUHRER JULFEST 1943, STABS DER GAULEITUNG SUTETENLAND, it is interesting to note that the first awards of this rare Gau badge was made in December 1943 so this cigarette case was probably awarded at the same time to one of these early party fighters. [Condition: Exc++]
ARMY / WAFFEN SS ANTI PARTISAN WAR BADGE IN BRONZE.
A excellent example of the bronze grade anti partisan badge produced in zinc with much bronze finish remaining, excellent detail to the snakes and swastika sword design, the skull has the typical large eyes. The reverse side features the so called coke style pin with some old metal corrosion where the hinge meets the badge. A very rare award.
GOLD PARTY BADGE OF THE NSDAP BELONGING TO SS STURMBANFUHRER OTTO KUHNAU.
This 30mm example originally belonged to SS Sturmbanfuhrer Otto Kuhnau. The enamel badge is in perfect condition, the wreath still retains some original gilt finish. The reverse side features the political style safety pin and hook, the pin plate is marked Deschler & Sohn Munchen 9, below this it is stamped with the NSDAP membership number 43197 which is Kuhnau's party number. Otto Kuhnau was born in 1904, his NSDAP membership number of 43197 shows that he joined the party very early probably in 1925 or 1926, he also had a very early SS membership number 9427. He joined the SS and was promoted to SS officer rank in 1934 as an SS Untersturmfuhrer and receiving steady promotion after that date until he was promoted to SS Sturmbanfuhrer (Major) in 1938, he initially served with the 84th Standarter (Regiment) and then latter with the 48th Standarter as leaders of the 3rd Battalion, he was awarded the SS ring and the SA sports badge. SS Sturmbanfuhrer Kuhnau died in action on the 14.12.1941 probably serving with the Waffen SS and the date would suggest in Russia. Complete with a large research file concerning the original owner. Provenance, this NSDAP gold party badge was originally part of the important John Papara collection which was sold in auction some years ago. [Condition: Near Mint]

HITLER YOUTH LEADERS PEAKED CAP.
This example is for a officer of Bannfuhrer rank. Brown wool political top with red piping to crown, brown wool center band with silver piping to top and bottom edges complete with metal HJ diamond badge, silver metal eagle and silver cap cords. The interior of the hat has brown silk lining with celluloid patch with full makers details, Christian Haug, Hochstestr, Berlin, there are a number of official inventory stamps that have been inked out (many hats and uniforms came into the collectors market in the early 1990's from Eastern Europe coming from official institutions and museums and normally featuring inventory stampings this is almost certainly one of those). Leather liner with early style RZM tag to the underside. A very nice looking hat, it has been several years since i have had an HJ officers to offer for sale.
