Silver plated hilt fittings are in excellent condition, the clamshell features the enameled rifle association insignia to include two small swastikas. The white celluloid grip is complete with gilt crossed rifles and it is in perfect condition which is very difficult to find as normally these grip will be cracked but this one is the exception as it is in superb condition. SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL, RARE VARIATION WITH EXCLAMATION MARK TO THE END OF THE SS MOTTO.

SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL, RARE VARIATION WITH EXCLAMATION MARK TO THE END OF THE SS MOTTO.

For many years it was believed that Jacobs was the only manufacturer of this rare variation with the exclamation mark at the end of the SS motto, latter it was discovered that Klittermann & Moog also produced this rare variation and the example i have available is by Klittermann & Moog. The hilt fittings are nickel silver which is correct for early RZM examples by this maker, the fittings have never been cleaned and have a nice age pattiner. The black ebony grip is inset with the SS runic badge and silver eagle, there is one tiny flake of wood missing from the upper portion of the grip as it touches the upper crossguard but it is extremely small and hardly worth mentioning especially when considering the rarity of this SS dagger pattern. The blade features the SS motto, MEINE EHRE HEIST TREUE and then followed by the exclamation point, the reverse side of the blade is etched with the makers details, RZM M7/29 and which as stated above is the code number for Klittermann & Moog, there are a few tiny scratches to the blade but over all this is an extremely nice blade. The scabbard still retains most of the original black paint and it is complete with matching nickel silver fittings. A very rare dagger variation dating to about 1936, it has been at least 4 years since i have had one of these rare exclamation point SS daggers to offer for sale, a very rare variation which is often missing from even advanced collections [Condition: Exc++]
