The superb lions head hilt and folding guard still retain much original gilt finish, the detail to the lions head is exceptional. A difficult to find Gau badge. Silver circular wreath decorated with oakleaf's and with large black painted swastika to the centre with date 1925. The reverse side features pin and hook with two small rivets that hold the swastika in place, the badge is also maker marked, R.WACHTLER & LANGE MITTWEIDA 800.The 800 is for the silver content of the badge. A superb and rare bronze figure of Old Bill a well known WW1 British military character. He is wearing a British WW1 helmet which is signed on the reverse side Bruce Bairnsnfather who designed and registered the Old Bill character. The cross retains 100% original black paint with good clear swastika. Silver frame has nice age patina.
