BRITISH WW1 OFFICERS SWAGGER STICK WITH CONCEALED BLADE.

Brown leather covered officer rank stick, pulling the handle away from the shaft reveals a long lethal steel blade, the blade does have some old age marks but over all it is still very nice. During WW1 most British officers only carried a service pistol so a bladed weapon would be very handy especially in trench warfare. Exc+

SA MARINE DAGGER IN GOLD 1933 MODEL BY HENCKLES.

SA MARINE DAGGER IN GOLD 1933 MODEL BY HENCKLES.

This is a rare dagger to find, I have owned only two or three gilt SA Marine daggers over the last 40 years. The brown wooden grip is in near mint condition, it is fitted with SA insignia and eagle. The gold plated nickel crossguards and pommel nut retain about 85% gilt finish just showing light wear, the lower crossguard is stamped Wf for the Westfalen SA group. The blade is still very bright showing just light wear, the obverse side features the SA motto and the reverse side is maker marked, J.A.Henckels Solingen with there twins trade mark. Brown anodised scabbard is in very nice condition, the nickel fitting are gold plated and retain about 85% original gilt finish, the ball on the lower fitting has a slight dent. All SA groups had at least one SA marine unit, those who were based inland operated on rivers and large lakes. Most members of SA marine units carried the standard dagger but from existing examples in collections it is known that some opted to carry a dagger with gilt fittings and this is a good example of one of these. The last photograph in the the selection of photographs is for a colour comparison with a standard silver SA dagger and it is not included in the price. A rare dagger missing from most collections which I can highly recommend. Exc++

ARMY WW2 PANZER OFFICERS PEAKED CAP, DELUXE MODEL IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.

ARMY WW2 PANZER OFFICERS PEAKED CAP, DELUXE MODEL IN NEAR MINT CONDITION.

Superb deluxe quality example in fine condition,it is probably by EREL but it is not maker marked or if it was it is no longer visible. Field grey high front with dark green centre band and pink piping for panzer troops, fitted with deluxe quality silver bullion eagle, cockade and a set of cap cords which are held in place by two small silver buttons. The interior of the hat features gold silk lining with celluloid patch, there is no makers mark visible, it has probably faded with age which you often see with Erel war time produced hats, the lining of the hat is marked 56 at a concealed area at the very back of the hat which is a features some times seen on Erel hats. The brown leather sweat band is in perfect condition. A beautiful looking hat with no moth or damage and certainly one of the nicest I have owned in a very long time. Near mint
