GERMAN 1929 PATTERN NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER.

GERMAN 1929 PATTERN NAVAL OFFICERS DAGGER.

The German 1st pattern naval officers dagger is rare as most were converted in 1938 into 2nd pattern naval dagger by simply changing the flame ball to the eagle pommel. Fine detail to the gilt brass flame ball pommel. The crossguard features the anchor to both sides but it does not have a push button as it relies on pressure and the blade spring to hold the dagger in place. The white celluloid grip is in mint condition. The blade is stamped on the obverse side with the Weimar naval eagle and M naval stamp and also the issue number 0.593, the reverse side is stamped with the WKC knights head trade mark but with out the letters as this is there early style trade mark, the blade is not etched which is typical for a dagger with issue stamps and it is in excellent condition. The matching gilt brass scabbard is the lightning bolt type and it is fitted with the early style figure of eight rope bands, the reverse side is stamped with issue number 0.593 which matches the dagger issue number. This model dagger was worn from the late 1920\'s into the Third Reich period. A difficult dagger to find and missing from many collections. Exc++

WAFFEN SS M43 MODEL OFFICERS CAP.

WAFFEN SS M43 MODEL OFFICERS CAP.

This is one of many original Third Reich hats that were discovered at the Statini film studios in Czechoslovakia in the 1990's, the film studio built up a huge collection of original German uniforms and regalia at the end of WW2 to use in propaganda and historical films. The hat is produced in field grey cloth with officers silver piping to the crown. Attached to the front of the hat is the Waffen SS skull and eagle insignia on field grey backing, this is probably a latter replacement as many of the Stetini hats and uniforms were missing insignia which were latter replaced. The hat is fitted with a single metal button to the front of the hat. The interior of the hat has an artificial grey silk lining with various ink stampings, 2246/43 the 43 is probably the date of manufacture, it is then marked with size stamp 56 and then two further stamps which are for the Statini film company but these have been inked out as they often are. Bargain price because of the reasons stated above, these SS officer M43 caps are normally much more expensive. Exc++

SS DESK EAGLE ON MARBLE BASE.

SS DESK EAGLE ON MARBLE BASE.

Bronze Nuremberg style eagle with blackened finish, the eagle is clutching a black oakleaf wreath with large silver swastika (the SS colours) and sitting on a black plinth with SS runes within in a circle with an ornate border. The eagle is then mounted on a marble base with one small faint hairline crack to the marble base. The marble top has two small wells probably for a pair of ceremonial candles. Originally discovered many years ago at a UK flea market (boot fair), when I purchased this figure recently it was partly covered in an unsightly post war gold paint, this has been professionally removed at considerable expense and it is now back to its former glory. Approcamatly 8 inches or 20cm in height with base. A very attractive eagle and this is the first SS example I have owned. Exc++

VERY RARE & EXTRA DELUXE SHORT MODEL HUNTING DAGGER BY ALCOSO COMPLETE WITH HANGER AND KNOT.

Only two company\'s produced the rare deluxe short model hunting association dagger, Eickhorn and Alcoso, the Eickhorn model is rare but the Alcoso version is exceptionally rare and this is only the second dagger I have offered for sale in over 35 years. The silver pommel is decorated with oakleaves and acorns. Beautiful stag horn grip displays the Third Reich silver hunting association insignia featuring a stags head with swastika and letters DL. The crossguard is decorated with oakleaves and the clamshell features four stags and deer in a forest design. The mint blade is triple etched and features long panels on the obverse and reveres sides featuring wild boars, deer and hunting dogs in a forest design and the reverse side is also maker marked Alcoso Solingen and features there 1938 / 1940 pattern trade mark, the spine of the blade is also engraved with oakleaves, the blade is in superb mint condition and could not be improved. The matching green leather scabbard is fitted with two matching silver fittings, the upper fitting is plain but the lower fitting is highly decorated with a stag in forest design. Complete with green leather hanger and hunting style knot, silver bullion strap with double green lines, the acorn features green and silver top with silver base, the acorn is also slightly larger than some and it is very impressive. An exceptionally rare Third Reich dagger, I believe this is the only Alcoso example for sale at the moment on any site, the last one to sell in 2022 was considerably more expensive than my dagger. Approximate size 17 inches or 43cm. Near mint condition.
