SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL, GROUND ROHM BY EICKHORN WITH VERTICAL HANGER.

SS DAGGER 1933 MODEL, GROUND ROHM BY EICKHORN WITH VERTICAL HANGER.

This very nice dagger is especially desirable as it features the large oval pattern Eickhorn trademark which was only used for a very short time on the very earliest of Rohm SS daggers, soon after they changed to the small oval Eickhorn trade mark as it took up considerably less space with the Rohm inscription. All early nickel silver hilt fittings, the lower crossguard is SS group mark I and the under side of the crossguard is stamped with the manufactures bench number 7 and something which you only see on very early production Eickhorn daggers. The black wooden grip is in perfect condition and it is inset with the SS runes and silver eagle. The blade is in near mint condition, the obverse side features the SS motto with almost all factory blacking still remaining to the SS motto, the reverse side has been heavily ground to remove almost all of the offending Rohm inscription but you can still see traces of the letters if carefully examined, the large Eickhorn oval trade mark is in near perfect condition, this is a really nice blade. The black anodized scabbard shows light wear and it is fitted with matching nickel silver fittings, there is one very slight and shallow dent on the reverse side just below the vertical hanger. Complete with a very early style black leather SS vertical hanger, it is interesting to note when lifting the hanger marks can be seen on the scabbard which confirms that the hanger has always been on this scabbard. A really nice SS dagger and this is the first SS Rohm i have owned in in over 35 years which features this very rare early style Eickhorn trademark (please see Tom Wittmann SS dagger book page 72 for a similar example). RAD MANS DAGGER, VERY RARE EARLY EICKHORN VARIATION WITH FULL STAGHORN GRIP.

RAD MANS DAGGER, VERY RARE EARLY EICKHORN VARIATION WITH FULL STAGHORN GRIP.

This is the rare variation RAD mans dagger with full staghorn grip and which were officially produced for only one year from 1934 until 1935 and only by Eickhorn and were probably a prototype before standardization took over. This is a very early impressive RAD dagger produced in early solid nickel silver and so it is very heavy, the quality is exceptional. The grip plates are produced using the highest quality staghorn and the staghorn on this rare early Eickhorn pattern extends completely over the beak, which is different to the latter standard model in which the staghorn ends before the peak. The impressive large scimitar style blade features the RAD motto on the the obverse side, the reverse side is etched RADJ in a triangle and Ges Gesch (patent pending) and below this the very early small oval Eickhorn trade mark which was used until 1935 when it was replaced by the new style trade mark, the blade shows some faint spotting and age but over all it is still very nice and bright. The black anodized scabbard has matching nickel silver mounts and it is in excellent condition. Although this model dagger is normally referred to as an enlisted mans dagger i am sure most of these very early full stag grip types were issued to officers as the official officers pattern dagger was not issued until 1937. A rare chance to obtain one of these rare RAD full stag grip daggers, it has been many years since i have had one to offer for sale.

SS POLICE NCO SWORD WITH SS RUNES TO POMMEL.

Police NCO's swords which feature the SS runes to the pommel are a very rare model to find and shows that the original owner was also a full member of the SS. The black wooden grip is in mint condition and it is inset with the police eagle and swastika to the obverse side. The hilt still retains at least 90% original silver plated finish, the pommel features the SS runes which was a special option from the maker and was only available for policemen who were also full members of the SS, it is only the 2nd NCO example i have owned in over 35 years which includes the SS runes, they are extremely hard to find. The blade shows some very faint spotting but it is still extremely nice, there is no makers mark which is typical for an SS sword but it is stamped with SS runes. The black painted scabbard still retains at least 90% original black paint but it does show age wear so it is not mint but it is still nice and perfectly matches the sword. [Condition: Exc++]

HERMANN GORING'S GOLD TIE PIN IN ORIGINAL PRESENTATION BOX.

HERMANN GORING'S GOLD TIE PIN IN ORIGINAL PRESENTATION BOX.

This is a very large tie pin which measures approximately 4 inches or 10cm long and it is produced in 14ct gold. The tie pin features a long wide bar and attached to the center of the bar is a shield bearing Hermann Goring's family coat of arms which is then inset with over 80 red stones (they appear to be rubeys but i am not sure if they are). The reverse side of the shield is engraved, 12.1.1938 which is Goring's birthday so this was obviously a birthday gift and it is also stamped with the gold content number 585 which is the German mark for 14ct gold. The tie pin is fitted with original gold safety chain and hook (Goring obviously would not want to lose such a beautiful birthday present).Complete with original leatherette presentation box with the original manufactures details printed to the interior of the lid, Juweller Roller Chemnitze Konigstrasse , this was a very popular high end 1930s German jeweler. Provenance, this gold Herman Goring tie pin was at one time part of the famous Dr Julian Milestone collection of the USA, i purchased this item from him about 25 years ago along with a silver cigarette box which is featured in the archive section of the site, I sold them both to a collector but recently he has decided to let several items go and so i was very happy to own them again. An exceptional item of museum quality. [Condition: Near Mint]
