WW2 BRITISH COMPASS AND ORIGINAL CASE.

Brass compass still retaining some original black paint finish. The reverse side is marked with the British military arrow mark, MKIII, date 1943 and other marks. This is a very large martingale or horse brass and it is certainly the largest one i have owned measuring over 6 inches long, these were used as Regimental decoration for army horses.This martingale is designed to look like the other rank helmet plate of the Hampshire Regiment.
