He is wearing a British WW1 helmet which is signed on the reverse side Bruce Bairnsnfather who designed and registered the Old Bill character. WW1 BRITISH INFANTRY PATTERN OFFICERS SWORD.

The silver basket hilt retains almost all silver plating and it displays the George the 5th Royal cypher. The fish skin grip is in perfect condition.
